Concerned U.S.O.C. to Provide its Own Meat for Meals</a></p> <p style="font-size: 10pt; font-weight:normal; font-family:arial, 'sans-serif';">Posted February 21, 2008 at 04:57 AM by Rich Rodriguez</p> <p style="font-size: 10pt; font-weight:normal; font-family:arial, 'sans-serif'">The United States Olympic Committee, who are very concerned about the quality of meat from China being used in meals for athletes, has taken the bold step of importing their own supply of lean protein to feed over 600 US athletes scheduled to compete this summer. Two months prior to the commencement of the Beijing Olympics, sponsor Tysons Foods will ship 25,000 pounds of meat to the U.S.O.C.’s training grounds at Beijing Normal University, about 20 minutes from the Olympic Green. This year will be the first time the U.S.O.C. will have a separate training center where they can provide 3 meals per day to the athletes.
